New book on Intra-Uterine Insemination: Evidence-based guidelines for daily practice by Ben Cohlen and Willem Ombelet

CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group) just released this book on Intra-Uterine Insemination( IUI) in daily practice. IUI is a widely used fertility treatment for couples with unexplained and male factor subfertility. Although this method is less invasive and less expensive than other treatment options such as IVF and ICSI, its use is still debated. Last year the NICE guidelines of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology didn’t support the use of IUI anymore because of lack of evidence. In this book Ben Cohlen and Willem Ombelet  tried and succeeded to publish a comprehensive evidence-based book on IUI. In 34 chapters more than 50 international experts made an overview of IUI guidelines for daily practice, based on scientific evidence, clearly stated and summarized for the reader’s convenience.
